The Ministry of Finance states that it has agreed some directions of reforms with the Fund, Correspondent.net reports.
Ukraine and IMF have renewed work and approved main directions of reforms, which need to be conducted in the nearest time, according to MIF statement as per results of the IMF Mission’s work in Kyiv.
“For successful revision of EFF by the IMF Board of Governors, expected in July 2016, Ukraine will have to strengthen its efforts for strengthening financial stability”, the statement says.
The ministry notes that the revision of program from IMF side will allow Ukraine to receive the next tranche, which will be forwarded for upgrading the reserves of the National Bank.
“These were complicated, but constructive negotiations”, Minister of Finance Alexander Danyliuk commented in Facebook.
It should be noted that IMF mission worked in Ukraine on May 10-18. Its key task was to discuss and complete the Second revision of reform program, approved in March 2015.
As per results of the mission’s visit IMF informed that experts reached agreement with representatives of Ukrainian authorities on its lending program.
