NABU has formed materials, Hubs reports.
As the result of check through state registers the detectives of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have detected risks on 235 judges, - Head of Bureau Artem Sytnyk said.
“The request was submitted to us for 381 judges. The materials, which evidenced about possible certain risks, were formed on 235 judges, and 46 of these judges refused from further attestation and resigned”, - Head of NABU said during the session of the National Board on Anticorruption Policy under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
As Sytnyk emphasized, the condition of certain judges shocked: they own up to 20 properties and several expensive cars.
“Currently 148 proceedings are pending, 15 proceedings are submitted to court, 8 out of them are related to the representatives of the judicial branch of power. Other 35 persons are under suspicion”, - he said.
As it was reported, the judicial reform continues in Ukraine. Last week the Verkhovna Rada received amendments to the Constitution in terms of reform of court proceeding and the law on status of judges and court proceeding, which should implement these amendments.
