Vice-Prime-Minister Viacheslav Kyrylenko and Minister of Education and Science Lilia Hrynevych participated in the meeting of the Union of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine. During the meeting the ways of development of higher education, the reforms of admission campaign 2016, the state order and actual problems of higher educational institutions in different regions of the country were discussed.
In his opening speech Viacheslav Kyrylenko noted that “one of results of our meeting should become the building of a dialogue, because the Law on Higher Education, passed less than 2 years ago, requires joint efforts for implementation”. “There should be the cooperation of higher education, public environment and local authorities in this direction”, - he emphasized.
The Vice-Prime-Minister also emphasized that the reform of higher education should lead to increasing competitiveness of Ukrainian higher educational institutions in general European educational space. This should be facilitated by the informational campaign, aimed at Ukrainian enrollees, which will popularize education in Ukraine.
During the meeting the special attention was devoted to formation of state order to higher educational establishments. Minister of Education and Science Lilia Hrynevych assured attendees that there won’t be any reduction of volumes of state order.
