The Prime Minister also acknowledged that the country needs a lot to do towards the European Integration, Correspondent.net reports.
Prime-Minister Volodymyr Hroisman stated that in ten years Ukraine will become the member of the European Union, he told German newspapers, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports.
“I am sure that Ukraine will join EU in ten years, - Hroisman said. – We are going the European way, which means freedom, human rights and robust economy”, the Head of Government told.
Hroisman noted that EU association agreement will become the driving force of reforms.
He also outlined Ukraine’s success in combatting corruption and necessity of harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the European one. “We should bring our norms into compliance with EU norms”, Hroisman said.
“Many things have been done, especially in the sphere of combatting corruption. For example, we created absolutely transparent public procurement system”, the Prime Minister added.
The Head of Government acknowledged that the country needs to do a lot on its way to the European integration.
In particular, he emphasized the necessity of improvement of investment climate and the judicial reform.
In addition, Hroisman criticized the decision of the UK to withdraw from EU and noted that the young British voted for EU.
It should be reminded that in March President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker stated that Ukraine will not become the EU or NATO member within next 20-25 years.
