Prime-Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman warned dishonest officials about committing violations, he said during the government meeting, commenting the case on sanitary epidemiological station, UNN reports.
“Yesterday the director of sanitary epidemiological station was apprehended for bribe and the searches were conducted in 19 territorial sanitary epidemiological stations. We will push this case until we have court sentence. I would like to warn all officials once more – you’ll be put behind bars”, the Prime Minister said.
According to UNIAN, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov informed that during the joint operation of NABU and National Police the Chief Sanitary Inspector of Ukraine Sviatoslav Protas was apprehended in his office. Head of Sanitary Service Department of Ukraine Alexander Chepurnoi was also apprehended.
According to NABU, they were apprehended within criminal proceeding, initiated on 14 June 2016. According to preliminary legal qualification, the proceeding is investigated as per part 4 of Article 191 (appropriation and embezzlement of property and its acquisition through abuse of office) of CC.
In addition, 44 searches were conducted in 20 regions of Ukraine, it refers to regional departments of sanitary epidemiological services.
