The Ukrainian delegation will preside over the UN Security Council in February 2017, Correpondent.net reports.
In February 2017 Ukraine will preside over the UN Security Council, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Elchenko informed in his Twitter.
“After the election of new members for next 2 years we finally know that Ukraine will preside over the Security Council in February 2017. We are already preparing”, - he said.
Meanwhile, Elchenko reminded that the indicative voting for the new UN Secretary-General will take place in July. “We start July in Security Council, Japan presides over. The first indicative voting for the future UN Secretary-General will be interesting, there are many candidates”, he emphasized.
