The election of SFS Chairman Roman Nasyrov for the post of the President of Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) is the prestige for the fiscal service of Ukraine as well as for the whole country, Head of SFS Department of Administrative Appeal and Litigation Support Dmitrii Donets said to Era Radio.

According to him, the presidency in IOTA means that next year Ukraine will play the most significant role in this organization.

“Ukraine will obtain the range of advantages. Firstly, the popularization and creation of the positive image of Ukraine and Ukrainian Tax Service in global media space. Secondly, next year the General Assembly will be conducted in Kyiv, and this means that 46 representatives of the leading tax organizations will be able to give their recommendations and advices to Ukrainian SFS”, Dmitrii Donets emphasized.

In addition, Ukraine will become the center, on the basis of which best practices of tax administrations will be exchanged. That is, there will be held practical conferences, on which each administration will present its activities. The practical remedies for dealing with the problem and the practical way out of the situation, in which this or that country found itself, will be determined jointly with other administrations.

Dmitrii Donets also reminded that the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) was created in 1999 by the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Today its composition includes 46 countries of Europe, former USSR and CIS. Ukraine started cooperation with IOTA in 1999. In 2003 it became the associated member, and in 2006 – the full member of IOTA.
