The Company has signed memorandums on cooperation with “Antonov” and “Ukrzaliznytsia”, Correspondent.net reports.
On Thursday, General Electric signed memorandums on cooperation with “Antonov” State Enterprise and PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
“On the platform of the Ministry of Infrastructure we sign two strategic and political documents on cooperation with GE. This decision is not accidental: we weighed positions of all players on global market for a long time. We understand that GE is the company №1 in terms of production of diesel locomotives”, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian said.
According to him, the document, signed with “Ukrzaliznytsia”, creates the legal basis for further cooperation of strategic nature in production of locomotives in Ukraine.
“The second document is not less important. This is SE “Antonov”. We are one of those countries, producing its own planes. We consider that the cooperation with GE on supplies of engines will help to raise our planes to the other quality level. We will be able to fill the deserved niche in global airspace. I am sure that we have all chances and I hope that by signing this document we will start practical realization of projects. The world requires the planes of “Antonov”, but with qualitative European engines”, the minister said.
