The government’s committee for economic, financial and legal policy, development of fuel and energy complex, infrastructure, defense and law enforcement activities endorsed the extension of the list of state properties for privatization in 2016-2017 to 330 from 306 properties. Ukraine prepares the extended list of state properties for privatization.

This information was confirmed by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Yulia Kovaliv.

According to her, the list was supplemented with the following companies: Turboatom, Electrotyazhmash, State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, Amalgamated Mining and Chemical Company, Zaporizhzhia Titanium and Magnesium Complex.

“We include additional 126 companies. The total number of companies, pending privatization in 2016-2017, was 330”, she informed.

Kovaliv also noted that there were 306 such companies in the last version of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №271, which provides the list of privatized companies for 2016-2017. In the meantime, the committee supported the decision on exclusion from this list of 102 companies, which were already privatized, were undergoing the dissolution process or are located in ATO zone.

“We are anticipating approval from government. We stick to the idea of largescale and transparent privatization”, Kovaliv added.

It should be noted that this year the State Property Fund of Ukraine plans to put up for privatization 450 state properties, 20 large enterprises, 50 middle-sized companies, 380 small privatization properties.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Minister repeatedly noted that the list of state enterprises, forbidden for privatization, should be significantly reduced. In particular, according to Deputy Minister of Economic Development Yulia Kovaliv, the list of such companies should be reduced twice – to 705.
