US President Barak Obama is ready to impose veto on the bill, passed by both Houses of US Congress, permitting the relatives of 9/11 victims to file lawsuits against Saudi Arabia authorities, BBC reports.
According to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, if this document becomes the law, there is high probability that in the same way the lawsuits will be filed against US citizens.
Previously, after US Congress passed this bill, six Arabian countries expressed concern and claimed that this document violates international legislation.
In addition, Saudi Arabia threatened to sell out US assets, amounting to USD 750 bln, in case of passing such law.
On September 11, 2001, the series of four attacks happened in the USA. Then 19 persons, dividing into groups, captured four passenger planes. 15 out of them were the citizens of Saudi Arabia.
