In September 2016, PrivatBank paid the National Bank of Ukraine UAH 1.45 bln on account of repayment of refinancing loans, obtained within 2014-2015, according to the bank’s press release.
According to the message, in particular, UAH 650 mln of the principal and UAH 395 mln of interests were repaid in September.
PrivatBank clarified that since the beginning of 2016 NBU transferred more than UAH 10 bln on account of repayment of refinancing: UAH 5.757 bln of the principal and UAH 4.389 bln of interests.
According to NBU data, as of January 1, 2016, the PrivatBank’s refinancing loan arrears to NBU amounted to UAH 27.079 bln.
PrivatBank was founded in 1992.
As of March 31, 2016, its largest shareholders were Gennady Bogoliubov (direct participation - 33,2525%, indirect - 8,3244%) and Igor Kolomoiskyi (direct participation - 41,6572%, indirect - 8,3244%).
