Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman promises the minimum wage, amounting to UAH 3,200, in 2017, he said, opening the session of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“The labor of Ukrainian citizens is underestimated. I would like to emphasize that today it is very important to create the system, in which the labor of Ukrainian citizens will start receiving the appropriate salary. Today we suggest making the first steps”, Groisman said.
According to him, the government suggests that in 2017 the minimum wage makes up 3,200 UAH.
“We will ensure the double increase of the minimum wage in the country”, the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to him, previously it was planned to include into the draft budget the minimum wage, amounting to UAH 1.6 ths, however the government managed to find opportunities to increase it twice.
Meanwhile, the minimum living wage also increased to UAH 3.2 ths in the draft state budget.
It should be reminded that previously Poroshenko stated that the increase of salaries of Ukrainians should be minimum 20-30% due to decrease of the single social tax to 22% from the beginning of the year.
