The US stock index Dow Jones reached a new record level amid the overall growth of US stock market after Donald Trump’s victory at presidential elections – BBC reports.
As per the results of trading on November 14, Dow Jones rose by 21 points (0.1%) – up to 18868.69 points. Previously, it demonstrated the largest weekly percentage rise since December 2011.
The Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase shares also continue rising.
However, Standard & Poor's 500 index decreased by 0.25 points – up to 2164.2 points.
Nasdaq Index also dropped by 0.36% - up to 5218.4 points.
Investors expect that the policy of Donald Trump as US President will sustain growth of economy and consumer prices.
The experts state that the growth on stock markets, in particular, is connected with Trump’s pre-election statements about the intention to reduce taxes and increase investments in the infrastructure.
As previously surveyed by BBC Russian economists noted, Trump’s victory is unlikely to play into hands of Russia and sustain Russian economy, which cannot overcome crisis.
