The Ministry of Finance claimed that PrivatBank is under state protection.
The amount fluctuates from UAH 116 to 148 billion.
At the press conference, dedicated to the nationalization of PrivatBank, Minister of Finance Alexander Danyliuk claimed that the National Bank suggested that the Minister of Finance should give UAH 116 bln for capital increase , the Correspondent reports.
According to Danyliuk, all amounts are included in the draft state budget.
“The maximum amount of capital increase is UAH 148 million”, Minister of Finance claimed.
Valeria Hontareva added that all depositors are under state protection for 100%.
The cards of PrivatBank can be serviced in all financial institutions of the country without restrictions. The cash funds were delivered to ATMs beforehand.
“Today, it is a very good day for all our depositors”, NBU Chairwoman said.
The temporary administration is already working in PrivatBank.
Previously, social media asked the Minister of Finance what will be with the hryvnia rate after such extensive money printing.
It should be reminded that on December 18 it was announced about the nationalization of PrivatBank. The transitional period starts from December 19.
