Currently, there are 113 ths proceedings in the Enforcement Service. About 2.5% of funds, withdrawn from bankrupt banks, have been successfully returned, Finance.ua reports.
The positive court decisions were passed on five cases for the total amount of UAH 692 ths out of the IDIF’s applications on committing crimes for the total amount of UAH 273.7 bln, submitted to law enforcement agencies.
Currently, in the Enforcement Service there are about 113 ths enforcement proceedings, under which the debtors of liquidated banks should reimburse funds, amounting to about UAH 150 billion.
“The low efficiency of performance of law enforcement, judicial and executive bodies, about which IDIF and NBU often complain, is really one of the most serious issues of Ukrainian financial system and one of the “main scourges”, maybe even the total catastrophe of the current Ukrainian state in total”, according to the edition. In 2016, more than 20 Ukrainian banks terminated their activities.
As of January 2017, 94 financial institutions were operating in the country.
