Currently, Ukraine obtains 50 mln cubic meters of gas per 24 hours from EU.
The most gas was received from Slovakia, Correspondent.net reports.
In January-February 2017, Ukraine increased the import of natural gas by 30% (by 651.5 mln cubic meters) versus the same period of 2016 – up to 2 bln 819.8 mln cubic meters, Ukrtransgas reports.
Traditionally, the most gas was imported from Slovakia – almost 2.5 bln of cubic meters, the rest of the gas volume was imported from Hungary and Poland.
“According to the latest information of the Central Dispatch Department, the daily import volume of natural gas from European countries is 50 mln cubic meters”, Ukrtransgas reports.
As Correpondent.net reported, in 2016, Ukraine reduced the import of natural gas by third – 32.7% (by 5 billion 375.6 mln cub.m) versus 2015 – up to 11 bln 78.4 mln cub.m.
Meanwhile Ukraine has not imported natural gas from Russia for 15 months – since November 26, 2015, purchasing it exclusively from the European Union.
