The Verkhovna Rada ratifies the agreement on creation of the free trade area between Ukraine and Canada, which will open a free access to 98% of the Canadian market for national manufacturers. 272 people’s deputies voted for the respective decision, while 226 are minimum required, UNIAN reports.
“The agreement on the free trade with Canada is the first document after EU Association Agreement, which covers a quite large market. The free trade agreement opens the opportunities for Ukrainian business. The agreement will also allow continuing the reorientation of Ukrainian companies to all markets, except for the Russian one”, - First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv said, while presenting the draft law.
