In response to recommendations of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) on decreasing company’s tariffs for making calls to fixed telephony subscribers, the leading Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar will soon announce new tariff plans for making calls to landline phone numbers, which will be equated to the tariffs for making calls to other operator networks, Finance.ua reports, Authorized Government official Maria Protsyshen said during AMCU’s open session.
“The situation was not simple, because the operator was given respective recommendations. It fulfilled them as it thought fit. The Antimonopoly Committee thought such fulfilment unfit and initiated a case in this regard. As of today, Kyivstar notified AMCU of the intention to implement tariff plans, which will equate tariffs for making calls to fixed telephony subscribers with other mobile operator networks. We were provided with the working draft of these tariffs and, in my opinion, they can be thought to fulfill recommendations”, she said.
According to Protsyshen, when these tariffs are implemented and published on the operator’ site, AMCU will decide to fulfill or not fulfill its recommendations.
As reported, in response to AMCU recommendations, Kyivstar offered clients three new packages, proposing 30, 10 and 5 minutes of calls to city numbers for 10.63, 5 and 3 hryvnias respectively.
