The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the draft law, which suggests adjusting the minimum salary (tariff rate) to the amount not less than the minimum salary as well as raising salaries of employees of the enterprises, which export more than a half of their products, Debit-Credit reports.
On March 14, the Verkhovna Rada registered the draft law №6190 On Introduction of Amendments to Certain Regulatory Acts of Ukraine regarding the adjustment of minimum salaries or raising the amount of salary on the enterprises, exporting more than 50 percent of manufactured products, commodities, works, services beyond the customs territory of Ukraine (export). His authors are non-affiliated people’s deputies D. Dobrodomov, B. Matkovsky, A. Musii.
The draft law stipulates the introduction of amendments to the Labor Code and the Law on Labor Remuneration, which suggest:
- Introducing the definition of the minimum salary as the minimum amount of labor remuneration for a simple, unqualified labor, lower than which the payment cannot be made for the monthly (hourly) labor norm, fulfilled by the employee.
- Setting the minimum salary (tariff net), amounting to not less than the set amount of the minimum salary (3,200 hryvnias).
It should be reminded that from 01 January 2017, the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. 28.12.2016 №1037 set the amount of the salary (tariff rate) of the employee, equal to the living standard for employable persons as of January 1 of the calendar year (i.e. UAH 1,600).
- Setting the minimum salary for workers (employees) of the first category of the respective sphere on the enterprises, exporting more than 50% of manufactured products, commodities, works, services beyond the territory of Ukraine (export), doubling the amount of the minimum salary (6,400 hryvnias).
