The International Monetary Fund expects to obtain the macroeconomic forecasts from the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance within few days, in order to continue considering the Ukrainian issue, Ukraine’s Representative in IMF Vladislav wrote in Facebook.
He reminded that the International Monetary Fund rescheduled the consideration of allocation of the next tranche to Ukraine.
“I can only add that I expect that NBU with the Ministry of Finance will be able to provide macroeconomic estimates, and we can return to the consideration of allocation of the next tranche to Ukraine”, he wrote.
As reported, IMF Board of Governors rescheduled the consideration of completion of the third revision of the Extended Financing Facility program for Ukraine, planned for Monday.
The Ministry of Finance claims that the rescheduling of the session is caused exclusively with the need to update the estimates of economic results of the measures, applied by Ukraine in response to the blockade and takeover of Ukrainian enterprises on the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as well as Russia’s acknowledgment of documents, issued on these territories.
In its turn, in response to mass media requests, the National Bank reports that Ukraine is in the program of cooperation with IMF.
“The recent course of events in the country requires the additional study of their potential impact on the economy and their account in macroeconomic forecasts of the program of cooperation with the Fund”, as it is reported on NBU’s Facebook page.
