The regulator obtained such decision at the meeting on Monday, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“Cancel (NCSREUS decision on introduction of the monthly fee for gas distribution), conduct additional consultations, ensure that none of Ukrainians has any raise according to this decision”, Head of NCSREUS Dmitri Vovk said.
As reported, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utility Services approved the amount of the monthly fee for connection to the gas distribution system.
From April 1, the consumers should have paid the monthly fee, irrespective of the actual volume of consumption. The monthly fee will be accrued based on the connected capacity of each consumer (depending on the type of the gas meter).
According to the commission decision, the monthly fee for gas, as for the commodity (4,942 UAH for one thousand cubic meters plus the maximum trade margin of the gas supply company, which is 3.2%) will be accrued to the consumers from April 1.
Subsequently, Vladimir Groisman said that the Cabinet of Ministers will require to revise the NCSREUS decision on the implementation of the monthly for gas.
President Petro Poroshenko also said that the decision of implementation of the monthly fee for gas should be suspended.
