The people’s deputy that he and all members of this family are under the protection of the European Union.
The people’s deputy Alexander Onyshchenko said that one of the European countries granted him the status of the political refugee, Correspondent.net reports.
“My activities in Europe are recognized as political. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of one of the European states granted me the document with the status of the political refugee. It means that the members of my family and I are under EU protection”, Onyshchenko said.
It was previously reported that on April 12, the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine the set of documents, required for initiating the procedure of extradition of Onyshchenko’s mother Inessa Kadyrova, who is suspected of involvement in “gas scheme”.
It should be reminded that Onyshchenko is suspected in organization of the scheme on the embezzlement of funds during the production and sale of natural gas.
