The experts of the Center of Political and Legal Reforms (CPLR) stated the insufficiently effective activities on the realization of anticorruption programs, Finance.UA reports.
According to the conclusions on the evaluation of efficiency of maintenance of state anticorruption policy, the general level of realization of measures of the anti-corruption strategy for 2014-2017 and the state program on the realization of the Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2015-2017 does not exceed 60%.
According to CPLR’s expert Dmitri Kalmykov, the strategy, consisting of 44 anticorruption items, was realized in time only for 20%.
In addition, the experts note the absence of institutional anticorruption system. “There is not the proper list of corruption crimes”, - CPLR’s Director for Scientific Development Nikolai Khavroniuk said at the press conference on Thursday in Kyiv.
He also emphasized the poor performance of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine. “Regarding the activities of the NABU, specially created for fighting with corruption, in 2016, its detectives initiated only 69 criminal proceedings”, the expert summarized.
