PrivatBank is suspected of the money transfer to fictitious firms. These funds were transferred to the accounts of fictitious firms, according to the journalists’ statements.
The journalists of Scheme TV program gained access to the draft analysis of financial and business operations of PrivatBank, prepared by Ernst&Young, Correspondent.net reports.
According to the document, the auditors found that as of April 2015, the default risk was estimated at UAH 82 bln, and as of October 1, 2016, the amount increased up to UAH 139 bln.
PrivatBank conducted the restructuring of the loan portfolio and transferred arrears of 170 previous borrowers to other 30 new ones, which started owing more than UAH 110 bln to the bank. However, having checked the registration addresses of new firms, the journalists found that they are fictitious.
For example, Phyto-Prom Evolution, which owes almost UAH 500 mln to PrivatBank, leases one room, where there are two tables and several chairs.
The firm Lex Grant owes more than UAH 4 bln to PrivatBank; it is registered in the apartment of a usual residential building in Kyiv. Nobody opened doors to the journalists. The neighbor said that she saw nobody there for long.
Yurii Ponka, the founder and the manager of the firm Triumph 15, which owes more than UAH 4.3 bln to PrivatBank, is registered in Zgurovka village, Kyiv region. Ponka’s mother said that her son lived in Mariupol for long.
Igor Kolomoysky and Gennady Bogoliubov, who owned more than 91.5% of shares, were the beneficial owners before the nationalization. The rest of shares belonged to the management board, headed by Chairman Alexander Dubilet.
All of them declined to comment this information.
It should be reminded that it was previously reported that the National Bank stated about the insufficient capital increase of PrivatBank for 30 bln.
