Gaztranzit, which is partially owned by Gazprom, decided to pay shareholders UAH 209 mln of dividends after AMCU’s request for the seizure of funds.

Gaztranzit PJSC (Kyiv), which partially belonged to the Russian monopolist Gazprom, will pay his shareholders UAH 209.066 mln of dividends, New Time reports.

The company reported it in the information disclosure system of NSSMC, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

The Gaztranzit shareholders approved the respective decision at the meeting on April 28.  

It should be reminded that on April 11, 2017, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine submitted the request for initiating executive proceeding on the enforced collection of the fine from Gazprom, amounting to UAH 172 bln, to the State Enforcement Service (about USD 6.5 bln – NV Business).

In the meantime, Head of AMCU Yurii Terentiev specifically indicated in his comment that Gazprom is the cofounder of Gaztranzit PSJC, which owns the building in Kyiv (26-v Sichovykh Striltziv Str) as well as other assets.

AMCU requests to seize Gazprom’s properties and funds and ban their disposition.

It should be reminded that the High Economic Court dismissed Gazrpom’s cassation complaint about the decision on the collection of fine and penalties, imposed by the Antimonopoly Committee, amounting to UAH 172 bln, for the monopoly abuse on the Ukraine’s natural gas transit market.

Later, the State Enforcement Service initiated proceeding on the collection of the fine of the Antimonopoly Committee, amounting to UAH 172 bln, from Gazprom PJSC and seizure of its properties on the country’s territory.
