NATO Support and Procurement Agency came up with a proposal to include the companies of the defense and industrial complex of Ukraine into the list of manufacturers of defense products, according to the press office of Ukroboronprom, the European Truth reports.
“Therefore, the state concern Ukroboronprom can receive the permission for participation in tenders for the delivery of goods and services in the interests of member countries and NATO partners within the program “Non-systemic Broker Services””, according to the press office.
“The implementation of NATO standards in the production and development of new technologies, compatible with weapons and military equipment of the member countries of the alliance, is the irreversible vector of development and reforming of the state concern “Ukroboronprom””, - CEO of Ukroboronprom Roman Romanov noted.
The Mission of Ukraine to NATO noted that Ukraine became the first among the Eastern European NATO’s partners, who was offered such opportunity.
It is reported that the preparation of respective amendments to the contractual and legal base for the regulation of cooperation of Ukraine with NATO Support and Procurement Agency has already started.
