In 2018, the German lowcoster Eurowings plans to start operating flights from the International Airport Boryspil to Germany, Boryspil Airport Director Pavel Ryabikin posted in Facebook, European Truth reports.
According to him, today, Lufthansa Group representatives visited Boryspil Airport and assessed improvement of the quality of services, the public offer and its opportunities for attracting lowcosters.
“With the permission of our partners Lufthansa Group, I will reveal a small secret. From the next year, the lowcost carrier Eurowings (Lufthansa Group) plans to start operating flights en route Kyiv-Berlin with the future opening of flights to Dusseldorf”, he wrote.
It should be reminded that from November 2016, the lowcost Eurowings halted flights to Russia “for economic reasons”. The airline company Air Berlin made the same decision in October 2015 “as part of the optimization of unprofitable directions”.
