Ukrainian financial institutions increased their provision of consumer loans to 8.8 billion UAH, as stated in the report of the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine (IABU).
As at 01.08.2013 consumer loans make 68.9%, while at the same date in 2012 the figure was at 64.7%.
Most active borrowers are residents of Kyiv and the metropolitan area with more than 40% of total loans.
IABU analysts point out that the most dynamic segment is that of small loans, while mortgages and automotive lending grow at a slower pace.
Experts believe that in the near future the rapid growth of consumer lending trend will persist.
