The activists picket the building of the National Tariff Commission.
More than thousand members of trade union organizations and activists all around Ukraine protest near the building of the National Energy and Utility Regulatory Commission, demanding not to pass the decision on introduction of gas delivery fee, UA1 correspondent reports.
According to the activists, they will not allow the National Commission to approve one more extortionate decision.
“Today, NEURC attempts to pass one more extortionate decision – to introduce gas monthly fee. It is an unjust decision: those, who only have a gas oven, will pay more than now. We will pay for gas even when we do not use it. We demand not to pass this decision”, Member of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of Workers Alexander Kukharchuk said.
The organizers also demand from NEURC to stop increasing the rates in Ukraine. Because during the year, the utility rates increased overly: hot water and heating increased in price twice, the electrical energy – more than by half, water supply – more than by third.
Reportedly, the issue of introduction of mandatory gas monthly fee is being considered at NEURC meeting today.
