The Accounting Chamber claims expenditure of 955.3 million UAH for a video surveillance system during the election, ineffective, the agency’s press service informs.
«Installing and operating CCTV system at polling stations during the election campaign in 2012 cost 955.3 million UAH of inefficient expenditures, because, according to the CEC, obtained footage virtually was not used. Given that the use of video surveillance in future election campaigns or in any other manner provided by applicable law, the fate of this system remains to be determined. At present, the technical component cost 195.9 million UAH is stored with local administrations», the report said.
