Raiffeisen Bank Aval, for the first time in the history, disbursed the loan in the national currency to the International Financial Corporation, the press office of the bank reports.
As reported, the bank disbursed the loan, amounting to UAH 400 mln, for 8 years. IFC will allot these funds for financing investment projects of Ukrainian companies.
“Previously, the corporation provided financial support to Ukrainian companies only in foreign currency”, according to the message.
“We are working to increase access to such necessary funding for Ukrainian companies and extend the time of resources on the market”, IFC Regional Manager for Ukraine and Belarus Jason Pellmar said.
According to him, Auchan Retail already received the first UAH loan.
“In future, we are ready to provide financial products in the national currency, which will be structured, taking into account the client’s individual needs”, he added.
As known, recently the National Bank of Ukraine permitted international financial institutions to disburse hryvnia loans to the clients.
In June, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development disbursed the first hryvnia loan, amounting to UAH 530 mln.
