39% of entrepreneurs assess the current general economic environment in the country as negative, and only 10% assessed it as positive according to the column: “Not only the official statistics: what does the business think about the business climate in the country” of the senior scientific officer of the Institute of Economic Researches and Political Consultations Irina Fedets.
Reportedly, the survey “Annual Assessment of Business Climate in Ukraine”, which is conducted annually by the Institute of Economic Researches and Political Consultations, as per the results of 2016-2017, showed that the economic crisis of last years significantly affected small and medium business.
“39% of surveyed directors of small and medium companies assessed the current general economic environment negatively, while only 10% assessed it positively. The others gave neutral estimates”, according to the message.
The absence of demand and orders is the main obstacle, which does not let business develop. 59% of the surveyed companies highlighted this problem.
In addition, the significant part of surveyed directors of companies expressed hope that their business will increase soon. 41% of representatives of small and medium companies considered that the financial and economic situation of their company will improve during the next half a year, while 48% had intentions to expand the volumes of activities of the company within the next two years.
It is more than the stake of entrepreneurs, who expected for the worsening of the situation of their company within a half year term (24%) or were going to reduce the volumes of company activities within two years (8%).
