The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade expects for growth in industry by 1.4% in 2017, according to the agency’s message, EP reports quoting Ukrainian News.
It is expected that as per results of 2017 in general, the forecast growth of industry at 1.4% may be achieved, but only subject to improvement of production activity of industrial enterprises in the eastern region of the country.
As per MEDT’s opinion, the development of industrial production will be supported by investment, export and consumer demand by the end of the year.
The Ministry of Economy notes that in August, as was expected, the situation in the industrial sector improved: the industrial production volumes increased by 1.2% (g/g), which was supported by both external and internal investment and consumer demand.
