President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the order №317/2017 on forming the composition of the National Investment Council, EP reports quoting the official website of the President.

A total of 29 persons, 18 out of which – upon consent, have been approved for the council composition.

As Presidential Advisor and Secretary to Council Boris Lozhkin noted in Facebook, the composition of the council included CEOs and chairpersons of management boards of Fortune 500 companies.

“Here are only two institutional investors – EBRD and IFC, the key ones out those, which operate in Ukraine. The other invited council members are strategic investors. These are CEOs of Cargill, General Electric, ArselorMittal, Louis Dreyfus, Socar, Citigroup. Engie, Metro, Unilever, Holtec, DP World, Vitol, Bunge, Posco Daewoo and Huawei – the companies, which actively invest in Ukraine and those, who are just opening its opportunities”, he wrote.

According to Lozhkin, each of them has a place on the investment map of Ukraine. Each is the benchmark for other companies from their sphere. But the main thing is that each has experience in many countries and can offer, through NIC’s platform, its vision on priority steps to be undertaken for improvement of the business climate of Ukraine.

It is noted that the order came into force since its public on October 10.

It should be reminded that in August 2016, President Petro Poroshenko dismissed Boris Lozhkin from the post of Head of Presidential Administration and appointed him as the Chairman of the National Investment Council.

In 2017, the newly created National Investment Council, headed by PA’s Former Head Boris Lozhkin was going to attract USD 3-5 bln of investments.
