The officials of tender-winning Trade Commodity LLC (Kamenskoe), suspected of involvement in embezzlement of UAH 149 mln during the fuel procurement for the Ministry of Defense, escaped, ET reports quoting the law enforcement bodies, with reference to Ukrainian News.
“Unfortunately, all of them escaped”, he said.
According to him, they probably managed to escape, because someone “leaked” information that the special operation of the National Anticorruption Bureau and the Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office was being prepared for detaining the persons, involved in this case.
As per unconfirmed information of UT’s sources, two possibly involved persons left the country a month ago and did not return since then.
As is known, on Wednesday, NABU and SAPO detectives detained Deputy Minister of Defense, General Lieutenant Igor Pavlovsky and Head of Department of State Procurement and Supply ofMaterial Resourcesof Ministryof DefenseofUkraine Volodymyr Gulevych.
According to NABU’s message, it refers to the corruption scheme on the embezzlement of public funds, amounting to more than 149 mln UAH, during the fuel procurement for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Later, SAPO’s Director Nazar Kholodnitsky informed about two other suspicions.
BPP’s deputy Sergei Leshchenko stated that Andrei Adamovsky, a long-term business partner and associate of the people’s deputy Alexander Granovsky, is behind Trade Commodity LLC, which also won Ukrzaliznytsia’s auctions for supply of diesel fuel for UAH 2.91 bln.
Granovsky himself denies any involvement in Trade Commodity LLC and is ready to cooperate with NABU.
