Ukraine is 100% ready for the heating season 2017/2018, Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing Gennady Zubko said, ET reports quoting UNIAN.
“Today, Ukraine is 100% technically ready – these are primarily social projects, residential sector and boiler houses”, Zubko said.
He reminded that local authorities should take decision regarding the heat supply, if the average daily temperature during three days is lower than +8 ˚C.
“Today, it is more important for us that the heating season starts not on October 15, but that the temperature regime is observed…The heating should be launched in those regions, where the temperature is lower than 8 degrees for more than three days. If the inside temperature of premises at the social facilities is lower than 16 degrees, then the heating should be turned on”, Zubko said, adding that the responsibility for timely beginning of the heating season was fully laid over local authorities.
