The National Bank launched a new modernized generation of the public system of electronic interbank payments – NBU’s electronic payment system, according to the regulator’s press service, ET reports.
The National Bank notes that the third generation of EPS (hereinafter EPS-3 - EP) was launched successfully and did not impact the quality of bank services, provided to its clients.
During the banking day of November 3, 1.22 mln payments, amounting to more than UAH 79.2 bln, were processed.
“The launch of EPS-3 is one of components of the program of development of information technologies of the National Bank, aimed at development and improvement of services and IT infrastructure for both internal tasks of the regulator and for those services, which NBU provides to the bank community”, Head of NBU’s Information Technology Department Volodymyr Nagorniuk said.
He also told that the essence of innovation EPS-3 consists in its overall renewal, based on the leading modern information technologies.
As reported, EPS architecture was rebuilt based on the industrial environment of servers of IBM WebSphere application, JEE industrial standards and NBU’s transport system, based on WebSphere MQ.
