The statistical data about situation in Ukrainian industry evidence that Ukraine’s economy remains seriously dependent on foreign markets, Head of Secretariat of CMU’s Board of Entrepreneurs Andrei Zablovskyi told Segodnya, Finance.ua reports.
According to the expert, it makes economy susceptible to impact of external shocks.
“Our economy greatly depends on foreign markets, export. We are also susceptible to external shocks; however, IMF does not exclude that a new world financial crisis will happen in the future”, the expert says.
The specialist is confident that the innovations should help to tackle the problem, for which Ukraine has several years.
We should be ready to face new challenges, renew infrastructure, implement innovations. For this, we have 2-3 years. Otherwise, the next world crisis can adversely affect Ukraine due to the economic deterioration and absence of financial safety bag among the population, Zablovsky considers.
