The discontinuation of cooperation with international financial organizations will results in the problems with the country’s solvency, Minister of Finance Alexander Danyliuk said to Channel 5, EP reports.
He expressed his opinion that Ukraine can fulfill the conditions for obtaining the next tranche of IMF loan in the first quarter of the current year.
“My task as the Minister of Finance is to continue the successful cooperation with IMF. When we have the program with IMF, then we can obtain the additional funding from World Bank, EU. These funds are very important”, the official said.
“I hope that in the first quarter we will have the law about the anticorruption court”, the minister added.
He noted that the delayed restoration of IMF funding is one of the factors of hryvnia weakening.
Danyliuk called the current volume of NBU reserves (U.S. 6.7 bln of “net”) as the comfortable level.
The Minister of Finance emphasized that in case of absence of IMF loans, Ukraine will have to search for alternative sources of funding.
