President Petro Poroshenko submits the draft law on currency to the Verkhovna Rada.
The respective draft law №8152 is registered in the parliament on March 19, Ukrainian News reports.
Now, the wording of the document is absent from Rada’s website.
Previously, the National Bank reported that the draft law on currency stipulates the issue of two types of licenses.
After the Verkhovna Rada approves the respective law, NBU will issue only general currency license to the banks and currency license for non-banking financial institutions, such as currency exchanges.
Such notion as “currency control” will change for “currency supervision”.
Meanwhile, the National Bank added that the amount, which is subject financial monitoring, will increase to UAH 300 ths, and the time of settlements under foreign economic transactions (now max. 180 days) will not have limits.
As Ukrainian News reports, on March 2, the National Reforms Board, chaired by President Petro Poroshenko, considered the draft law on currency, which will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
