The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine developed the plan, through which it plans to collect 2.6 billion dollars from Russia’s Gazprom according to the ruling of Stockholm Arbitration Court, Minister of Justice Pavel Petrenko told during interview with one of TV channels, ET reports.
The Minister reminded that Ukraine already collected from Gazprom 100 million hryvnias to the state budget.
“What regards the assets on the territory of other countries, then we have the plan, which I will not tell, because it should be the surprise for the borrower”, Petrenko noted.
Reportedly, on February 28, Stockholm Arbitration Court satisfied Naftogaz’s claims on compensation for the undersupplied gas volumes for transit.
According to Stockholm Arbitration Court ruling, Naftogaz sought compensation, amounting to USD 4.63 bln, for undersupplied gas volumes for transit. According to the results of two arbitration proceedings in Stockholm, Gazprom will pay USD 2.56 bln to the benefit of Naftogaz.
Later it became known that Gazprom submitted an appeal against the ruling of Stockholm Arbitration Court on the gas supply case; the appeal on the arbitration proceeding on the transit will be submitted by late March 2018.
