The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Deputy CEO of ISIDA private clinic Oleg Petrenko as the Chairman of the National Health Service.
The respective decision was approved at the government session on March 28, Deputy Minister of Healthcare Roman Ilyk reports in Facebook, ET reports.
“On Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed O. Petrenko as the Chairman of NHS. The Prime Minister pledged 100% support to the latter”, Ilyk reports.
In addition, according to the deputy minister, the government approved all prepared draft regulatory acts for the full transformation of healthcare and the start of registration campaign.
Reportedly, previously, the Commission for Senior Civil Service chose the director of the organ, which will control 100 bln of state funds for medicine, ISIDA clinic’s senior executive Oleg Petrenko.
Petrenko has experience in management of the largest private clinics of Kyiv.
Before working at Isida, Petrenko was the first deputy CEO of Oberig clinic. In 2005 – 2006, he was the advisor to the Healthcare Minister.
Petrenko was one of 12 experts, which developed the concept of reforming the healthcare system, which provided the basis for the law, approved by the Verkhovna Rada.
The National Healthcare Service is the new organ, which is created as part of the medical reform.
He will control all payments in healthcare sphere, choose hospitals, which will receive funds from the state and control allocation of over UAH 100 billion per year for payment of services of the patients.
