City Administration to raise the price of a single journey on public transport
Starting 1 Feb, Kyiv will raise fares across all public transport, yet monthly passes will stay at the same level. This was announced during today's board meeting of the capital industrial enterprises by Oleksandr Popov, head of Kyiv City State Administration, RBC-Ukraine reports.
We reported earlier that Kyiv City State Administration had plans to raise fares in public transport up to 3 UAH. The relevant draft order "On Amendments to the order of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) of 12 November 2009 № 1277 "On setting tariffs for transportation of passengers and cost of tickets in urban passenger transport that operates in regular mode" published on the KSCA’s website.
The plans involve, in particular, raising a single fare in the underground, city train, tram, trolley, bus and cable car up to 3 hryvnia.
