Banks say that the reasons for restriction are technical
Banks of Ukraine limited the sales of foreign currency to individuals due to increased demand. Such information came from sources in several banks, RBC-Ukraine informs.
Thus, some banks of the first and second groups of NBU set the limits from 100 to 500 dollars. According to sources, this is due to physical absence of currency in the exchange points.
According to unofficial information, particularly the dollars sales to individuals are limited in Privatbank to $100 per day, FUIB - $500, Credit Agricole - $200, Oschadbank - $100.
It should be noted that the unstable political situation in Ukraine led to the expected increased demand for U.S. dollars. Thus the dollar is trading at four-year highs on the interbank market.
However, according to sources, limitations are due to technical reasons, and soon, free market sales will be restored.
