The level of bribery and corruption in Ukrainian organization increased from 56% in 2016 to 73% in 2018. Meanwhile, it is almost three times higher than the global index, according to the report, prepared by the auditor of Big Four – PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), UNIAN reports.
Thus, according to the company, in the world, only 25% of respondents replied that their organizations encountered with bribery and corruption that is almost three times lower than the indicator in Ukraine.
As per results of the research, each third Ukrainian respondent (33%) noted that his organization obtained the proposal to give a bribe within the last two years. In addition, 12% of Ukrainian respondents informed that the losses of their organizations from bribery and corruption were between $1 mln and $50 mln.
PwC is the international network of companies, suggesting the professional services in consulting and audit. The company exists for over 160 years and is one of the so-called Big Four auditing companies. Its headquarters are located in London.
PwC conducts global research of economic crimes and fraud, based on the responses, obtained from more than 7 ths respondents from 123 countries of the world. The study is conducted in Ukraine for each two years, starting from 2009.
