The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) considers 5 packages of documents for purchasing banks, NBU press service informed Ukrainian News.
“The National Bank is considering 5 packages of documents, submitted for approval of acquisition of the major shareholding in the banks of Ukraine”, according to the regulator’s comments.
Meanwhile, the regulator does not specify for purchasing what banks the documents were submitted.
According to the legislation, NBU considers the documents for purchasing banks within three months from the date of receipt of the full package.
It should be reminded that in this June, Belorussian state Paritetbank submitted for the second time the package of documents to NBU for approval of acquisition of Russia’s Sberbank subsidiary in Ukraine.
Last December, Paritetbank already submitted to NBU the documents for purchasing Sberbank; however, it received a denial.
