In the first half of 2018, Ukrainian Alfa-Bank increased profit 33 times – up to UAH 394.7 mln versus profit, amounting to UA 12.1 mln for the same period of 2017, the financial reporting data evidence, Ukrainian News reports.
Thus, the first quarter of Alfa-Bank ended with the profit, amounting to UAH 211.5 mln, second – with the profit, amounting to UAH 183.1 mln.
As of July 1, 2018, the bank assets decreased by 1.3% - up to UAH 48.7 bln. Meanwhile, as of the same date, Alfa-Bank’s capital increased by 10.7% - up to UAH 4.1 bln.
Alfa-Bank (until January 2001 – Kyiv Investment Bank) was founded in 1993. ABH Ukraine Limited (Cyprus, owns 90.1% of shares) and the international investment fund MSP Stiftung (Liechtenstein, 9.9%) are the shareholders of this financial institution.
In its turn, the lvovian Mikhail Fridman (32.9%) and the kyivite German Han (almost 21%), who are the citizens of Israel and are currently residing in London, as well as Alexei Kuzmichev – 16.3%, Petr Aven – 12.4%, Andrei Kosogov – 3.7% (all of them are the citizens of RF, residing in Moscow), UniCredit S.p.A. (Italy) – 9.9% and The Mark Foundation for Cancer Research (Cayman Islands) are the owners of ABH Ukraine Limited through ABH Holdings.
According to the data of the National Bank of Ukraine, as of January 2018, in terms of the amount of assets, Alfa-Bank ranked the 8th (UAH 58 bln), and the sister Ukrsotsbank – 7th (UAH 58.3 bln) among 84 operating financial institutions
