Laws come into force from January 22
The newspapers «Holos Ukraini» and «Uriadovyi Kurier» published 10 laws which Parliament adopted on 16 of January 2014. Majority of laws come into force on the day following their publication, ie on January 22, 2014.
Specifically, the following laws were published:
№721-VII «On Amending the Law of Ukraine «On the Judicial System and Status of Judges» and procedural laws for additional measures to protect the security of citizens»;
№722-VII «On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding liability for administrative violations during football games»;
№723- VII «On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on administrative responsibility for offenses in the field of road safety, recorded automatically»;
№724- VII «On Amendments to the Rules of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine»;
№725- VII «On Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine regarding the correspondence of criminal proceedings»;
№726- VII «On Amending the Law of Ukraine «On Legal Aid» on postponing the entry into force of the provisions of paragraph 6 of Chapter VI “Transitional Provisions”;
№727- VII «On Amendments to Article 197 of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding exemption from value added tax on transactions of the natural gas import into the customs territory of Ukraine»;
№728- VII «On Amendments to Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding liability for destruction or desecration of monuments in memory of those who fought against Nazism during the Second World War - the Soviet soldiers -liberators, members of the guerrilla movement, underground, victims of Nazi persecution and internationalist soldiers and peacekeepers»;
№729- VII «On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding liability for denial or justification of crimes of fascism»;
№731- VII «On Amending the Law of Ukraine On elimination of negative impacts and prevent prosecution and punishment of persons on the events that took place during peaceful assembly».
