Only 166 deputies voted for approval of the document in the first reading, while 226 are minimum required, HB reports.
When considering the draft law, First Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko indicated that his approval would allow tender participants to additionally decrease the price during the auction, Interfax-Ukraine reports. The funds, potentially saved from that, were estimated at UAH 9 bln.
According to her, the document also enabled the auction participants to correct their errors within one day and improve the appeal procedure in the Antimonopoly Committee.
“We deepen the reform of public procurement and give access for small business. The small tenders will be simplified”, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Nefiodov agitated for the draft law, however, without results.
