Mark-ups make up from 10 to 25%
The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine has elaborated and submitted a draft resolution for consideration of the government, which sets out pricing for domestically and foreign-made goods on equal terms and the government regulation - drug price control, the press-office of the Ukraine’s Ministry of Healthcare reports.
After entering changes to par.1 of the resolution of the Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers No.955, the standard mark-ups on prices of medicines have been listed in the national roster of the main therapeutic agents and medicinal products (except narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, precursors and medical gases), with an obligatory minimum array (socially oriented) of drugs and medicinal products for pharmacies ranging from 10 to 25%.
Currently, the amount of mark-ups is from 0.3% to 169.5%.
Changes to par.1 of the CMU’s resolution dd. October 17, 2008, under No.955 will come into force on January 1, 2015.
